-A big seizure of animals in distress on a property in Mountain View County this week, has put a major strain on the Alberta SPCA.
The organization was called to help RCMP during an investigation, and SPCA Peace Officers took 82 animals into care.
Among them were 56 dogs, ten sheep, nine llamas, four chickens and three geese.
They’re now being medically assessed, which comes at a big expense for the organization.
Officials say if you have the opportunity, consider fostering animals that can be adopted, donating to rescue organizations, or buying lottery tickets, such as the ones sold by the Alberta SPCA, because the money goes towards animal care. (photos courtesy of Alberta SPCA and RCMP)

But it’s only a concern if you were born in or after 1970, and haven’t received two doses of measles vaccine.
