Big Sugar brings their “HEMI-VISION” Tour to Edmonton in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the album of the same name that introduced “Diggin A Hole,” “If I Had My Way,” and “Gone for Good”! See the album performed for the first time in its entirety, followed by a second set of favorites and rarities from their extensive catalogue.

The band was a cultural experiment in the 1990’s, an amalgamation of Detroit blues, Detroit Rock City, and Kingston Ghetto—Roots Rock Reggae—all done in Hugo Boss suits at the height of grunge. The recipe has become a force that still drives the current lineup, with Anders Drerup’s throbbing bass lines, Root Valach’s arena rock drums and Gordie Johnson’s signature guitar tones, mixed with vocal harmonies that invoke Jamaica, Motown or an East Coast kitchen party. Add in passion, laughter and comradery, and you’ve got the musical spontaneous combustion that comes from every live show.
