Formed in Charlottetown, PEI in 1981, Haywire won a local radio band contest in 1984 which helped them release their own EP “Haywire”, and a Labatt’s Battle of the Bands to record more material before signing with Attic Records in 1986. Their first two albums went platinum, they have toured with Helix, Honeymoon Suite and Kim Mitchell, and have received the Music Prince Edward Island and East Coast Music Association Lifetime Achievement Awards.
