Rules and Regulations
“You Raised ‘Em Right” Contest Rules
The “You Raised ‘Em Right” Billboard Family Model Contest (hereinafter: the “Contest”) is brought to you by K-97-CIRK FM (Stingray Radio Inc.) (hereinafter: the “Contest Organizers”). The Contest runs exclusively in Edmonton, Alberta, from July 29, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. MST until August 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. MST (hereinafter: the “Contest Period”).
ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to all persons residing in the K-97 listening area (as defined by NUMERIS) who have reached the age of majority as of the first day of the Contest Period. Notwithstanding the preceding, the Contest is not open to individuals associated with the Contest, including the employees, agents, and representatives of the Contest Organizers (including their respective divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agencies), their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials, and services related to this Contest, or any other party directly linked to the holding of this Contest (the “Excluded Individuals”). This Contest is also not open to the immediate family members of the Excluded Individuals. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, “immediate family” includes father, mother, brothers, sisters, children, legal or common-law spouse, and individuals with whom such employees, agents, and representatives reside.
HOW TO ENTER
No purchase is necessary. During the Contest Period, listeners may enter by submitting a group family photo via the official “You Raised ‘Em Right” contest page on k97.ca.
Photo Submission Guidelines: The submitted photo must respect the following:
- It must have been taken within one year of the date of entry and depict all family members who would potentially be part of the billboard artwork.
- It cannot include any visible third-party brand names or logos.
- It must not include any content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or obscene, as determined in the sole discretion of the Contest Organizers.
- 8MB maximum file size
There is a limit of one (1) entry per family/household for the Contest Period.
Any entry that does not respect any or all of the above requirements will not be eligible for participation in the Contest and the entrant will be automatically disqualified.
The Contest Organizers are not responsible for confirming that submissions have been received and will not comment on whether submissions meet the required guidelines.
Consent for Minors: If anyone in the submitted photo is under the age of majority, the entrant confirms by their submission that they are the parent or legal guardian of the minor(s) and have the authority to grant consent on their behalf. The entrant must be able to provide proof of custody or guardianship upon request.
RIGHT OF USE
By participating in this Contest, the Participant grants the Contest Organizers the non-revocable right to use (including the right to modify, adapt and reproduce) the Entry Form and the Photo without any limitation whatsoever, including in time or territory, on all platforms and in any media that exists or may exist in the future, including for editorial, marketing, advertising and promotional purposes, without compensation or notice, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
WINNER SELECTION
All eligible entries will be judged by a designated panel of judges from K-97 to determine one (1) prize-winning family. ALL DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL. If the quality or number of submissions is deemed insufficient or do not meet the minimum judging criteria, the Contest Organizers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to terminate the contest without selecting a winning family.
GRAND PRIZE DESCRIPTION
There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, which consists of the winning family being professionally photographed and featured in the K-97 “You Raised ‘Em Right” billboard campaign.
The following conditions apply to the Grand Prize:
- The winning family members must be available to attend a billboard photo-shoot on a date and at a time to be determined by the Contest Organizers.
- The winning family gives consent for their likeness to be used on the billboard and any/all associated Stingray Marketing material across Canada.
HOW TO BE DECLARED A WINNER
In order to be declared a winner, the selected potential winning family must be in compliance with these Contest Rules and, in particular, the following:
- The adult representative of the family must answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, a mathematical skill-testing question.
- The adult representative(s) of the family must sign a publicity release and liability waiver form (hereinafter: the “Release Form”) on behalf of themselves and any minors in their care, and return the signed copies to the Contest Organizers within the specified timeframe.
By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules. In the event a potential winner fails to comply with any condition set out in these Contest Rules, the Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify the entrant and select an alternate winner.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Verification. All entries are subject to verification. Any entry which is incomplete, incomprehensible, fraudulent, or otherwise does not conform to these Contest Rules will automatically be rendered invalid.
Disqualification. The Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person participating in this Contest or trying to participate by means contrary to these Contest Rules or in a manner which is unfair to other entrants.
Property of Entries. Entry forms and submitted photos are the sole property of the Contest Organizers and will not be returned to entrants.
Authorization. By entering this Contest, the declared winning family consents to the Contest Organizers using their name, photograph, likeness, and testimonial related to the prize, without compensation and without limit as for the period of use, on any/all Stingray Marketing material across Canada.
Liability Limit. Each entrant and the winning family releases the Contest Organizers and their agents (the “Beneficiaries”) from any and all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance or use of the prize.
Modification. The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part.
Communication with Entrants. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with entrants except with the potential winning family.
Personal Information. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by the Contest Organizers solely for the administration of the Contest.
Decisions of the Contest Organizers. All decisions of the Contest Organizers regarding this Contest are final and binding on all entrants.
Identification of the Contestant. For the purposes of these Contest Rules, the entrant is the person whose personal information is submitted on the entry form.
Unenforceability. If any section of these Contest Rules is declared illegal or unenforceable, that section will be deemed void, but all other sections will be enforced as allowed by law.
Jurisdiction. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws of Alberta.
